Machine Woman is Russian born Anastasia Vtorova.
A sound artist and image maker who often collaborates her practice with other artists.
Her works are inspired by late night listening of down beat minimal electronica music along with melancholic world wide cinema.
In the past Vtorova has shared stages with such acts as GNOD, Raime, Shaped Noise, Kenny Love, US Girls to name but a few. That also included performances in New York basements, abandoned warehouses in Manchester, Dundee Contemporary Art Centre and Parisian cafes.
Her live performance is a live electronica set with use of DAW and hardware.
PINK SILK a 5 track E.P and her debut release under name Machine Woman. A really nice intro into the world of MW. Pink Silk is to me the sound of someone rising up fom murky warehouse parties with a bag full of ammo and ideas ready to be unleashed on the bug eyed masses. It also sounds fucking beautiful on tape. This is one to leave on repeat in your player.
